T-Shirt Research – What’s Working?

Hey guys, Brad Stephens here…

Today I want to chat to you about a cool trick you can use to do t-shirt design research.

It’s a simple trick based on a common method used for research – the TeeSpring search bar.

Now before you dismiss this post thinking “argh, I know how to search Brad”…

Hear me out 🙂

The conventional way of searching is by using keywords related to different niches or by just searching niches.

For example:

1. Swimming

2. Snowboarding

3. Writing

Now this works pretty well, but some sellers have caught onto this trend and are not using keywords related to their campaigns in the campaign title.

So now, for example, they are just using titles like:

  • “Limited Edition”
  • “Closing Soon”
  • “X Hours/Days Left”
  • “Final Chance”
  • Etc etc…

Now this is where we get creative with our search terms.

I’ve found that by using search terms such as:

  • “limited edition”
  • “closing”
  • “soon”
  • “hours”
  • “days”
  • “final”
  • “chance”
  • “sold”

I’ve been able to pick up on some amazing designs that are selling incredibly well. Designs that I would not have been able to find by just searching for keywords related to a specific niche.

Using these search terms reveals amazing designs AND brand new niches you may never have thought of (since you were already searching for a specific niche – not looking for a new one).

So give it a try and let me know how it works for you in the comments below!

One more thing, please don’t rip the design exactly. Use it as inspiration to create your own amazing designs and to inspire new ideas for your niche!
